Job Title: Administrative Support Worker

Salary: £14.35

Hours: Full-time

Location: Liverpool

Job Type: Permanent

 

Working Hours: Up to 19 hours a week to be used flexibly over two or three days a week during Monday to Friday (between 8.30am to 5pm hours) (Additionally, the support worker would also be required for a total of 16 hours additional adhoc support when required throughout the year)

 

About the Role

Duties will include:

The role involves supporting a nurse at work in their community-based role. The nurse being supported works in an office environment as well within community school settings and other settings for their job role. Therefore, the applicant will be expected to travel around the community to support the person being supported and to undertake the duties required as a support worker.

The job role primarily involves supporting with administrative support worker duties, as well as supporting the person with organisational and time management skills as well as with adapting to and managing change.

Other administrative duties may be determined and given during the employment dependent on the needs of the person being supported.

Principal Responsibilities:
The applicant will work closely in an office environment with the person receiving support when required to support the person while they are undertaking their job role duties.

The role requires the applicant to travel around the community to support the person being supported with carrying work equipment to and from places required for undertaking their job role.

The applicant will provide communication support on the telephone when required, under the direction and supervision of the person being supported.
Taking accurate meeting minutes of confidential meetings under the direction of the person being supported. The meeting minutes will be handwritten using a digital pen and notebook to enable the person being supported to then write up a post meeting report.

The applicant will support the person being supported with understanding new information for learning purposes when required.

There may be times when direct support to the person being supported is not required, and the applicant will be given other admin duties within the work team office environment to complete during this time.

About You

• The applicant must have experience in completing meeting minutes and be able to complete accurate confidential meeting minutes.

• The applicant must be able adhere to the organisation’s health and safety and moving and handling guidelines.

• The applicant must have an Enhanced DBS for children and young people that is a mandatory requirement to be able to support the person in undertaking their job role duties. Job Title: Personal Assistant to NHS Professional

You will be employed as a personal assistant, in a professional capacity, to a trainee CBT therapist in a fast-paced NHS department in the field of mental health support.

This role is based in the central Lancaster area, with some opportunities for home and flexible working, though attendance at an office base and university campus will be required on a regular basis.

The professional you will be supporting has a visual impairment and is a guide dog user, so being at ease and confident around dogs is essential.

Your role will be strictly to support the trainee therapist to undertake the responsibilities of the role that are of a visual nature, and therefore you will not have any case management responsibilities, nor be expected to engage in decision-making around client support or have any direct contact with clients, unless instructed in a limited capacity to do so on occasion.

The role will be suited to a dynamic and creative individual with excellent interpersonal skills, an interest in mental health, and someone who is self-motivated, highly organised and able to work to deadlines.

Ideally we would welcome applications from individuals who have had some experience working in the field of mental health or the social care sector, and have a good understanding of safeguarding, and an understanding of mental health presentations. Some recent academic experience would also be desirable.

You will need to be a very effective user of IT systems (including a competent use of MS office, basic audio/video recording software).

About the Role

Duties will include:

  • Be expected to attend the university of Cumbria campus on a flexible basis when required and provide sighted support to assist with orientation or library access. You will also provide sighted guidance around the workplace if required and the local area
  • Be able to convert lecture materials into accessible formats (from powerpoint into word for instance)
  • Be able to describe and convert sometimes complex diagrams into accessible formats (written descriptions, audio formats)
  • Support with creation of visual materials for the trainee therapist to use with clients (including visually appealing work sheets and diagrams)
  • Support with creation of presentations and video recordings where required within an academic context
  • Support with proofreading academic work for visual presentation purposes
  • Support with accessing any written materials including library searches and accessing books
  • Within the workplace, there will be an expectation to support the therapist to access the case recording system, extracting relevant information prior to client contact and transferring assessment and session notes following contact (upon instruction).
  • A strict adherence to confidentiality/information governance policies will be required and working within deadlines.
  • The trainee therapist’s work with clients may often include working with individuals in psychological distress and you may therefore be exposed to distressing material whilst undertaking your role. As such, you will be required to treat all clients you come into contact with dignity and respect and act with integrity and must demonstrate emotional resilience in these contexts.
  • There will be additional miscellaneous activities within the role that you will be expected to undertake as the role evolves.

Our client is seeking an individual with admin experience to provide assistance to a doctor teaching at a medical school in the Coventry area.

You will be required to work up to 20 hours per week, 4 hours per day at an hourly rate of £14.35 per hour, Monday to Friday.

 

About the Role

Duties will include:

  • To prepare interactive training material which will include, videos, images and references
  • To assist with the visual elements of creating and formatting presentations and training materials.
  • To assist with formatting and proofreading of documents, feedback forms and other material.
  • To assist with the visual elements of training/presentation delivery. E.g. operating screenshare or PowerPoint, communicating visual cues from an audience.
  • To assist with access to and orientation around unfamiliar or unusually busy buildings and places both on and off campus.
  • To provide sighted assistance in accessing inaccessible literature such as paper based documents, last minute materials that aren’t screen reader accessible, describing images/event photos.
  • To occasionally assist with notetaking in both remote and face to face meetings, providing an accessible typed or recorded copy of said notes when required.
  • To organise and schedule the client’s diary to include student meetings and other events
  • Any other duties that may be reasonably expected of the role.

Work Schedule:

2 weeks working Mon, Wed & Fri in the office

4 weeks increase to 4 days working in the office

Ongoing: Monday’s in the office 4 days from home In the Rugby area

Ongoing 5 days a week for 38 hours

 

About the Role

Duties will include:

  • Support with administration duties including, but not limited to; note taking, collecting photocopies, taking minutes of meetings, typing up minutes, proof reading, filing, organising paperwork into plastic files
  • Carrying folders/documents, to empty individuals office bin (due to mobility constraints)
  • Act as a sighted guide for individual when she is out on visits (as well as in the office); give verbal ques such as step left/right, identify steps going up or down, open doors, trip hazards, read aloud signage/directions etc.
  • Drive or travel with individual to all appointments – internally & externally
